Trek through some of the country’s greatest National Parks for a chance to encounter wildebeests, warthogs, baboons, hippos and elephants. In the evenings, relax in charming tented camps and lodges that offer sumptuous comfort under a blanket of shimmering stars.
DAY – BY – DAY
Day 01: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our VIP Visa Specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He guide you through the entire Tanzania Visa application process and skipping long immigration queues. With Galloping Safaris, you will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, a Galloping Safaris representative will be holding a poster with your name who will transfer you to Arusha (40- 45 minutes) for the Serenity retreat of Mount Meru Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 02: Arusha NP + Walking Safaris – Game drive
Meet and Greet at Arumeru River Lodge for pre-safari briefing.
08h30 Depart Arusha with 4×4 and drive the short distance to Arusha National Park passing through a dense forest, then along the various Momella lakes. Then we visit the Ngurdoto crater. Like the famous Ngorongoro Crater, this is a collapsed volcanic cone and although this crater is smaller it also offers amazing views. A walking safari is the ideal way to spot wild animals up close and enjoy the scenery. This park is one of the few parks in Tanzania where you are accompanied by an armed ranger. During a walking safari you’ll almost certainly see waterbuck, impala, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, elephants, colobus monkeys, baboons and various exotic birds. We also make a stop by a waterfall where you can take a refreshing shower, Enjoy picnic lunch at the shore of Momella lakes. More game drives and later you leave the park and drive back to the Luxury retreat of Mount Meru Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 03: Tarangire National Park – Game drive – Sundowner + Cocktails
Depart 08h30 from Arusha with 4x4x and drive to Tarangire National Park is a unique place and an absolutely fantastic in this time of the year. Viewing some of Tanzania’s largest populations of elephant and enjoying the diverse scenery, including the Dramatic baobab trees that are so typical of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the stretch of Tarangire River. More game Drive until end of the day you drive to Tarangire Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 04: Tarangire National Park – Game drive.
Sunrise guide walk in Tarangire start your day refreshed as you watch the bush come to life from the Private deck of your tent. There is no better way to up close and personal to the wild than to take a walking safari. Feels the ancient earth beneath every step you take as you tread on the tracks of animals that have walked the same path minutes before. This afternoon you have time to take a Refreshing or relax on your private deck with a cool drink and gaze out to the waterhole watching as the game lazily Congregates in the shade to escape the midday sun. As the afternoon progresses you may like to return to Tarangire for an Afternoon game drive dinner and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge.
Day 05: Lake Manyara National Park – Game drive.
Enjoy your delightfully breakfast, a fare well to your lodge staff. Game drive as you exit Tarangire and drive the short distance to Lake Manyara National Park for full Day game viewing to this unique park with an alkaline lake and breathtaking views. Here you will view a wide variety of wildlife and the acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. Enjoy your picnic lunches under the Acacia trees. This habitat is favored by the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, leopards and giraffes and can claim the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa. Algae thrive in the high saline content of the lake. Huge and colorful flocks of birds gather in the water to feed, including many different varieties of birds that coexist together. In fact, well over 300 different species of birds have been recorded here; continue with afternoon game drive and later drive to the Lush retreat of Acacia Farm Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 06: Olduvai George – Serengeti National Park.
Breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park. A brief visit en route to Olduvai Gorge, which is often referred to as ‘The Cradle of Mankind’ and is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Picnic lunch in the park. Proceed to Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a Valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Dinner and overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Camp.
Day 07: Eastern Serengeti to see Mammals & Big cats
Begin your sunrise safaris and return for late breakfast at 09h00. Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its Name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. The Serengeti is located along the rift valley and is abound with geological formations. One of Serengeti’s defining features are its Kopjes pronounced copy, a feature of continual Weathering. These islands in the sea of grass are formed as the top soil comprising of rock and ash is eroded exposing the covered layer of metamorphic rock. These exposed rock forms “kopjes” are round as a result of spherical wind weathering. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing Incredible. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions. Return for dinner and overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Camp.
With direct views of the Plunge pool and the magnificent Serengeti Plains beyond, this location on the second floor allows you to enjoy the very best of the nearby animal sightings. Recline under a thatched roof on your private balcony and embrace the magical experience of the Serengeti.
Day 08: Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro Via Masai Village for Cultural.
Begin your sunrise safaris and return for late breakfast at 09h00. Drive to Serengeti Plains to keep your eyes open for any Elusive wildlife that you may not have seen. With picnic lunches, drive to Ngorongoro. Stop at Land of the Maasai—the iconic pastoralists of the East African savanna, known for their scarlet robes, their beadwork, and their legendary ceremonies. Pay a visit to a Maasai Manyatta, or village, where we’ll be greeted with a foot-stomping, high-jumping welcome dance. Immerse yourself in their world, learning about their customs. Meet the village elders, visit homes, and take part in a memorable cultural exchange. Later proceed to your Luxury Intimate Lodge for dinner and overnight at Kitela Lodge & Spa.
Day 09: Ngorongoro Crater Africa’s “Garden of Eden”.
Early breakfast and drive the short distance to Ngorongoro Loduare gate and today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the Wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest Animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, Hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Drive back to Kitela Lodge & Spa for guided walk around the farm & coffee plantation or Relax at the retreat.
Day 10: SPA Treatment & Well deserved Lunch – Arusha – Departure.
Leisure breakfast enjoy the best fine view over the Ngorongoro Forest highlands and today you will experience the SPA Treatment after a long journey of exploration in the African wilderness, there is no better way of finishing the day than by indulging yourself in a pampering session that will immediately relax and soothe your mind and body. Earth & Rain Spa is an oasis of tranquility where you can enjoy relaxing and invigorating massages, face and body treatments and many other signature treatments while being captured into the curative atmosphere of the unspoiled African bush. Lunch will be services at the outdoor terrace with some soft drinks & juices – beers and later we start drive back to Arusha. Later drive to Kilimanjaro Airport or departure or if you have any plan to extend your trip to Zanzibar – Kilimanjaro Climbing or Southern Tanzania please let us know so that we can make the combination of package if possible.
