DAY – BY –DAY
Day 01: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our VIP Visa Specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He guide you through the entire Tanzania Visa application process and skipping long immigration queues. With Galloping Safaris, you will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, a Galloping Safaris representative will be holding a poster with your name who will transfer you to Arusha (45-60 minutes) for the Serenity retreat of Lake Duluti Coffee Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 02: Fly Arusha – Lake Manyara Airstrip – Ngorongoro Crater – Game drive – Sundowner.
Earl breakfast, 06:30 AM morning meet and greet for pre-safari briefing. 06: 45 AM pick up and transfer the short distance to Arusha Airport in time for flight to Manyara Airstrip. Flight departs Arusha Airport at 07h55, arrive Manyara Airstrip at 08:10 AM. Here you will be with your Private Driver Guide with 4X4 and drive to Ngorongoro Crater (45- minutes drive). Today you will explore today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Later drive to the Lush retreat of The Highlands Ngorongoro Camp for cocktails drinks, dinner and overnight.
Day 03: Empakai Crater Walking safaris + Lunch + Crater Rim Walking Safaris + Sundowner + Cocktail.
Leisure breakfast enjoy best fine view of the Olmoti Forest. 09: 00 AM you leave the camp and descend into the Empakaai crater accompanied by an NCA ranger and walk to the sparkling soda lake on the crater floor, famous for the pink flamingo that congregate on its shores. Because of the camp’s proximity to Empakaai, it is the only property that gives you the opportunity to make this a half-day excursion. Return back to High Lands Camp for relaxed lunch and drinks. Afternoon around 15:30 PM starting directly from camp, the Olmoti climb follows an ancient Maasai cattle trail through mountain forest, grasslands and rocky outcrops. Make the most of outstanding birding opportunities and the chance to see a vast array of butterfly species. At the top, you are rewarded with a magnificent view of the crater below. Retun back to The Highlands Ngorongoro Camp for Sundowner and cocktail drinks, dinner and overnight.
Day 04: Maasai Village Cultural – Central Serengeti National Park.
Breakfast, With picnic lunches drive to Serengeti National Park. Stop at Land of the Maasai—the iconic pastoralists of the East African savanna, known for their scarlet robes, their beadwork, and their legendary ceremonies. Pay a visit to a Maasai Manyatta, or village, where we’ll be greeted with a foot-stomping, high-jumping welcome dance. Immerse yourself in their world, learning about their customs. Meet the village elders, visit homes, and take part in a memorable cultural exchangeProceed to Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Dunia Camp.
Day 05: 06h00 Sunrise balloon hot Air Balloon Safaris An angel’s eye view of a heavenly landscape + Central Serengeti to see Mammals & Big Cats.
The sun rises, a candle burning through the gauzy clouds, illuminating the broad lands below. You glide over the denizens of the bush—a group of strolling giraffes, grazing zebras, wildebeest ramming their heads in a battle of wills. Here, with an angel’s-eye view of a heavenly landscape, time stands still… even as Africa’s timeless drama plays out below. Eventually (likely against your pleadings) the pilot lands the balloon softly on the grass, where a champagne breakfast awaits. It is the perfect end to a transcendental experience… and yet your day will have only just begun.
Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. The Serengeti is located along the rift valley and is abound with geological formations. One of Serengeti’s defining features are its Kopjes pronounced copy, a feature of continual weathering. These islands in the sea of grass are formed as the top soil comprising of rock and ash is eroded exposing the covered layer of metamorphic rock. These exposed rock forms “kopjes” are round as a result of spherical wind weathering. The national park covers an area of 14800 square kilometer’s most of which is grass plains.
These rich grass plains a result of ash deposited by volcanic eruptions, and is home to 3 million animals. Within these grass plains the scattered kopjes act as a heaven for animals from grass fires, predators and the heat. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing incredible. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions. Return for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Dunia Camp.
Day 06: Central Serengeti – Fly to Arusha – Barbecue Lunch Arusha – Kilimanjaro departure
Early start today for an early morning game drive to see also nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light or breakfast at the lodge, and morning go on your final game drive in Serengeti Plains. Keep your eyes open for any elusive wildlife that you may not have seen, transfer to Seronera Airstrip in time for Flight to Arusha Airport. Flight departs Seronera Airstrip at 11h00, arrive Arusha Airport at 12h15. On your arrival at Arusha Airport you will be Meet and greet with your Host Walter and his team and we drive the short distance to Arusha town for fare well deserved Lunch at Local Restaurant here you will have a variety of English – African taste meals with soft drinks & juices – beers.
Later drive to Kilimanjaro Airport or departure or if you have any plan to extend your trip to Zanzibar – Kilimanjaro Climbing or Southern Tanzania please let us know so that we can make the combination of package if possible.
