DAY – BY –DAY
Day 01: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport our VIP Visa Specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He will guide you through the entire Tanzania visa application process and enable you to skip long immigration queues. With Galloping Safaris you will experience worry-free service. Upon exiting the airport a Galloping Safaris representative will be holding a poster, with your name, who will transfer you to Arusha for the tranquil and serene retreat at Lake Duluti Lodge. Here you will have dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 02: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast you will depart Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive. The game viewing in this unique park, with its alkaline lake and breathtaking views offering you the chance to see a wide variety of wildlife. The acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. In the afternoon you will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch under the acacia trees. The parks habitat is renowned for its famous tree-climbing lion, as well as the elusive leopard, prestigious giraffe and the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa. Algae thrives in the high saline content of the lake where a wide variety of colorful flocks of birds gather in the water to feed. In fact, well over 300 different species of birds have been recorded in this area. After lunch you will continue your game drive and later drive to the lush and intimate retreat at Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp where you will enjoy a sumptuous dinner and then retire for the night.
Day 03: Ngorongoro Crater Africa’s “Garden of Eden” – Serengeti NP
After an early breakfast you will explore Ngorongoro Crater during a once in a lifetime game drive. Ngorongoro is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. The crater is one of the few places where the black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. With its 2000 ft. high walls, very few animals migrate in and out of the crater so expect to see lion, elephant, zebra, hippo, flamingo, jackal, rhino, antelope, and many birds. Watch out for the”Big 5″ and later proceed to Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a Valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species for dinner and overnight at Four Season Safari Lodge– Horizon room upper level with a view the watering hole that is close to the lobby.
Day 04: Central Serengeti to see Mammals & Big cats
Begin your sunrise safaris and return for late breakfast at 09h00. Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. The Serengeti is located along the rift valley and is abound with geological formations. These exposed rock forms “kopjes” are round as a result of spherical wind weathering. These rich grass plains a result of ash deposited by volcanic eruptions, and is home to 3 million animals. Within these grass plains the scattered kopjes act as a heaven for animals from grass fires, predators and the heat. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing incredible. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions. Return for dinner and overnight at Four Season Safari Lodge– Horizon room upper level with a view the watering hole that is close to the lobby.
Day 05: Northern OR Southern Serengeti to see the Wildebeest Migration.
Early breakfast, today we start with another game drive through the Southern or Northern Serengeti and head to the Mara River, time to watch the wildebeest migration as the dominated by the Mara River, groaning with crocs and hippos, this area is great for elephant, big herds buffalo, lion, cheetah as well as leopard in the many kopjes that make this landscape so distinctive. Also look out for small Oribi, which thrives in this area, but is otherwise extremely scarce in northern Tanzania generally. Sunset game drives to Olakira Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 06: Northern OR Southern Serengeti to see the Wildebeest Migration
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Northern corridor of Serengeti National Park, where you can often see wildebeest and large numbers of lions and cheetahs, as well as herds of giraffe and zebra – a most unforgettable spectacle of Africa’s circle of life, right before your eyes! Equally impressive are Tanzania’s magical sunsets, which out here are celebrated at traditional “sundowners”… like those you’ll enjoy at your Camp on your final night on safari, followed by a festive farewell dinner and overnight at Olakira Camp.
Day 07: Northern OR Southern Serengeti – Fly to Arusha – Barbecue Lunch Arusha – Kilimanjaro departure
Early start today for an early morning game drive to see also nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light or breakfast at the lodge, and morning go on your final game drive in Kogatende Plains. Keep your eyes open for any elusive wildlife that you may not have seen, transfer to Kogatende Airstrip in time for Flight to Arusha Airport. Flight departs Kogatende Airstrip at 10h00, arrive Arusha Airport at 12h15. On your arrival at Arusha Airport you will be Meet and greet with your Host Walter and his team and we drive the short distance to Arusha town for fare well deserved Lunch at Local Restaurant here you will have a variety of English – African taste meals with soft drinks & juices – beers.
Later drive to Kilimanjaro Airport or departure or if you have any plan to extend your trip to Zanzibar – Kilimanjaro Climbing or Southern Tanzania please let us know so that we can make the combination of package if possible.
