DAY – BY – DAY
Day 01: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our VIP Visa Specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He guide you through the entire Tanzania Visa application process and skipping long immigration queues. With Galloping Safaris, you will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, a Galloping Safaris representative will be holding a poster with your name who will transfer you to Arusha (45-60 minutes) for the Serenity retreat of Lake Duluti Lodge for dinner and overnight-Suite room.
Day 02: Tarangire National Park – Game drive – Sundowner + Cocktails
Depart 08h30 from Arusha with 4x4x and drive to Tarangire National Park is a unique place and an absolutely fantastic in this time of the year. Viewing some of Tanzania’s largest populations of elephant and enjoying the diverse scenery, including the Dramatic baobab trees that are so typical of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the stretch of Tarangire River. More game Drive until end of the day you drive to Nimali Camp for dinner and overnight.
However it is the pure delight and sheer pleasure of Nimali Camp that will remain with you for years to come, and will keep you returning, if only in spirit, to this delightfully dreamlike lodge. Sunset Hill is the perfect locations to sit atop and enjoy the deep orange sunsets that often welcome in the starry skies. With food and drinks served by one of the Treetops staff, this is truly a magical experience not to be missed.
Day 03: Tarangire National Park – Guided walk – Night Game drive
Sunrise guide walk in Tarangire start your day refreshed as you watch the bush come to life from the Private deck of your tent. There is no better way to up close and personal to the wild than to take a walking safari. Feels the ancient earth beneath every step you take as you tread on the tracks of animals that have walked the same path minutes before.
This afternoon you have time to take a Refreshing or relax on your private deck with a cool drink and gaze out to the waterhole watching as the game lazily Congregates in the shade to escape the midday sun. As the afternoon progresses you may like to return to Tarangire for an Afternoon game drive dinner and overnight at Nimali Camp Head out for Night game drive around the Savannah grassland that will takes you to encounter nocturnal animals such as lions, leopards, porcupines, civet cats, white tailed mongoose, aardvarks and cape hares. Night game drive is one of the most popular and exciting activity on safari.
Day 04: Lake Manyara National Park – Game drive – Sundowner
Breakfast with best fine view and you leave the camp and with en-route game drive to Tarangire gate for exit and drive the short distance to Lake Manyara National Park for Full Day game viewing to this unique park with an alkaline lake and breathtaking views. Here you will view a wide variety of wildlife and the acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. Enjoy your picnic lunches under the Acacia trees. This habitat is favored by the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, leopards and giraffes and can claim the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa. Algae thrive in the high saline content of the lake. Huge and colorful flocks of birds gather in the water to feed, including many different varieties of birds that coexist together. In fact, well over 300 different species of birds have been recorded here; continue with afternoon game drive and later drive to the Lush retreat of Acacia Farm Lodge for cocktails drinks, dinner and overnight.
Day 05: Olduvai George – Central Serengeti to see Big Cats & Large Mammals
Breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park. A brief visit en route to Olduvai Gorge, which is often referred to as ‘The Cradle of Mankind’ and is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Picnic lunch in the park. Proceed to Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, Known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a Valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Dinner and overnight at Asanja Camp Serengeti.
Day 06: Eastern & Moru Kopjes Serengeti to see Mammals & Big cats
Begin your sunrise safaris and return for late breakfast at 09h00. Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its Name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. The Serengeti is located along the rift valley and is abound with geological formations. One of Serengeti’s defining features are its Kopjes pronounced copy, a feature of continual Weathering. These islands in the sea of grass are formed as the top soil comprising of rock and ash is eroded exposing the Covered layer of metamorphic rock. These exposed rock forms “kopjes” are round as a result of spherical wind weathering. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing Incredible. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions. Return for dinner and overnight at Asanja Camp Serengeti.
Day 07: Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro Crater rim
Begin your sunrise safaris and return for late breakfast at 09h00. Half day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. These islands in the sea of grass are formed as the top soil comprising of rock and ash is eroded exposing the covered layer of metamorphic rock. These exposed rock forms “kopjes” are round as a result of spherical wind weathering. The national park covers an area of 14800 square kilometres most of which is grass plains. These rich grass plains a result of ash deposited by volcanic eruptions, and is home to 3 million animals. Within these grass plains the scattered kopjes act as a heaven for animals from grass fires, predators and the heat. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing incredible. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions. Later drive back to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight at Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge.
Day 08: Ngorongoro Crater Africa’s “Garden of Eden”
Early breakfast and today you will explore today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. High walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Drive back to Arusha and onwards to Kilimanjaro Airport or departure or if you have any plan to extend your trip to Zanzibar – Kilimanjaro Climbing or Southern Tanzania please let us know so that we can make the combination of package if possible.
