Begin in Tarangire – known as the place of elephants – Lake Manyara famous for the tree climbing lions and birdlife, before making your way to Ngorongoro crater where countless species are easily spotted in the short grasses at the bottom of the crater. The tour then moves to the far north of the Serengeti to spot Big Cats, Big Five and magnificent herds of the annual wildebeest migration. Day 01: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our VIP Visa Specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He guides you through the entire Tanzania Visa application process and skipping long immigration queues. With Galloping Safaris, you will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, a Galloping Safaris representative will be holding a poster with your name who will transfer you to Arusha (45 minutes) for the Serenity retreat of Lake Duluti Lodge this charming hotel has beautiful views of Mount Meru and is the ideal place to acclimatize to Africa or simply relax in the poolside gardens with a chilled drink. On cool winter evenings, get cozy next to a fireplace and sip one of the best coffees you will ever taste and enjoy dinner at the lodge’s restaurant.
Day 02: Tarangire to Witness the massive Elephant herds and Giant Baobab trees – Evening High tea.
Depart 08h00 from Arusha with 4x4x and drive to Tarangire National Park is a unique place and an absolutely fantastic in this time of the year. Viewing some of Tanzania’s largest populations of elephant and enjoying the diverse scenery, including the dramatic baobab trees that are so typical of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the stretch of Tarangire River. More game drive until end of the day you drive to Sanctuary Swala Camp for dinner and overnight.
However, it is the pure delight and sheer pleasure of luxury tents that will remain with you for years to come, and will keep you returning, if only in spirit, to this delightfully dreamlike lodge. Sunset Hill is the perfect locations to sit atop and enjoy the deep orange sunsets that often welcome in the starry skies. Day 03: Bush Walk + Game drives – Sundowner – Bush Barbecue Dinner.
Sunrise Bush walk with a new African morning, there’s calmness to the Tarangire panorama. It seems serene and soft, a little haze rising through the 300-year old trees. But head out at this hour, and it’s eventful in the bush. Morning is the premier time of day for a game drive, a time when big cats are on the move, and big mammals are feeding with abandon. Your goal will be to explore the more remote areas of Tarangire track down the resident carnivores and seek out some of the rare antelope species in search along the river circuits. Take a break with a picnic lunch at Silale Swamp and spend the afternoon in the beautiful Kitibong regions. Return to the Camp for high tea and ready for your sundowner in hand watch as the sun swiftly sinks and your setting becomes illuminated by a magnificent log fire. Once you have settled into your surroundings let our chef introduce you to traditional Swahili fare and experience a memorable evening under the African night sky. Dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Swala Camp.
Day 04: Lake Manyara National Park – Game drive – Mto wa mbu village visit.
Breakfast with best fine view and you leave the camp and with en-route game drive to Tarangire gate for exit and drive the short distance to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing to this unique park with an alkaline lake and breathtaking views. Here you will view a wide variety of wildlife and the acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. Enjoy your picnic lunches under the Acacia trees. This habitat is favored by the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, leopards and giraffes and can claim the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa. Algae thrive in the high saline content of the lake. Huge and colorful flocks of birds gather in the water to feed, including many different varieties of birds that coexist together. In fact, well over 300 different species of birds have been recorded here, continue with afternoon game drive and later drive to the Lush retreat of The Highlands Ngorongoro for cocktails drinks dinner and overnight.
Day 05: Ngorongoro Crater Africa’s “Garden of Eden”- Evening high tea – Sundowner – Bonfires.
Early breakfast and today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the Wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest Animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, Hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck, the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Later drive to the Lush retreat of The Highlands Ngorongoro for the sundowner at the Lodge is one of its kinds. The ever-inviting fireplace pit by the campfire where the Swahili lessons with fun are offered by our staff. Enjoy your delicious dinner will be served at the mezzanine that offer the best fine view the highlands and overnight.
Day 06: Olduvai George – Maasai Village Visit – Serengeti Evening Game drive – High tea.
Breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park. A brief visit en-route to Olduvai Gorge, which is often referred to as ‘The Cradle of Mankind’ and is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Stop at Land of the Maasai—the iconic pastoralists of the East African savanna, known for their scarlet robes, their beadwork, and their legendary ceremonies. Pay a visit to a Maasai Manyatta, or village, where we’ll be greeted with a foot-stomping, high-jumping welcome dance. Immerse yourself in their world, learning about their customs. Meet the village elders, visit homes, and take part in a memorable cultural exchange. Enjoy picnic lunch under the Acacia tree and head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, Dinner and overnight at Four-Season Serengeti Safari Lodge-Horizon room-upper level with a view the watering hole that is close to the lobby.
Day 07: Eastern Serengeti National Park – Game drive – Sundowner – Bush Barbecue Dinner.
Early breakfast, Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. Be amazed by the vast plains and the enormous amount of wildlife that can be seen here, and start counting the Big Five. Eastern Serengeti Kopjes is well known as being home to a large number of big cats – lions, leopards and cheetahs. This does not deter the elephant, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo and impala who are also popular inhabitants of Seronera. Around midday you will stop for a break to enjoy a packed lunch and stretch your legs before ‘jumping back in your jeep’ ready for another few hours of spotting the animals in the afternoon. At the end of the day you will return to return for dinner and overnight at Four-Season Serengeti Safari Lodge-Horizon room-upper level with a view the watering hole that is close to the lobby.
Day 08: Northern Serengeti – High Tea and Afternoon Game drive, Sundowners & Bonfires.
Early breakfast, today we start with another game drive through the Southern or Northern Serengeti and head to the Mara River, time to watch the wildebeest migration as the dominated by the Mara River, groaning with crocs and hippos, this area is great for elephant, big herds buffalo, lion, cheetah as well as leopard in the many kopjes that make this landscape so distinctive. Also look out for small Oribi which thrives in this area, but is otherwise extremely scarce in northern Tanzania generally. Sunset game drives to Olakira Migration Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 09: Full Day game drives to Witness the Mara River Crossing – Sundowners & Bonfires.
These full day safaris are the best way to see the full range of what this magnificent park has to offer. Each excursion departs at around 6.30 am, with your 4×4 fully equipped to cross the Serengeti in search of game. The early mornings are relatively cool, but by midday it can become very hot indeed and sun-block lotion and hats are advised. Lunch is served under the shade of an Acacia tree as you take a break from scanning the horizons, and realize that all is well with the world.
One of nature’s great occasions is the annual crossing of the Mara river by migrating wildebeest. Yet it is often in the lesser-known corners of the bush that we spot the highlights of your visit, such as a kill, amorous liaison, or lesser-known creature. A full day on safari gives you every chance of such unforgettable encounters. Return for sundowner and cocktails, campfire is ready for you, enjoy dinner and overnight at Olakira Migration Camp.
Day 10: Flight to Arusha Airport – Private Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport- Departure.
Breakfast, and today is your final morning in Serengeti for an en-route game drive that may turn up lucky any number of cat family or mammals on Marsh, while transfer to Kogatende Airstrip in time for check in for flight to Arusha Airport. Flight departs Kogatende Airstrip at 10: 00 AM, and arrive Arusha Airport at 12: 15 PM. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport you will be meet with our guide and short transfer to Butter and Scotch Restaurant at Sable Squire Garden for a fare well delicious LUNCH, today you will taste Beef & Chicken Barbecue, rice, bananas, cheese plate, organic salads to have more African touch and Private transfer back to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for check in for departure flight.
