Embark on a grand adventure within Tanzania’s most renowned game reserves and enjoy the safari

experience of a lifetime. 

We’ll take you through the unique terrain, forests and soda lakes of Lake Manyara National Park, one of the few places in the world where you can spot rhino, flamingo, elephants and tree-climbing lions. 

Have an opportunity to observe Africa’s Big Five – elephant, leopard, lion, rhinoceros, and buffalo –

where they live, in their natural habitats. Following your African safari, your journey concludes on the

tropical island archipelago of Zanzibar. Enjoy many different types of experiences on this journey, from

soaring high above the Tanzanian savannah aboard a hot air balloon to sailing aboard a

traditional dhow on the Indian Ocean off the coast of Zanzibar. Experience ancient, stunning

landscapes, the spice bazaars of Stone Town and one of mankind’s most important archaeological

sites… travel by safari vehicles within Serengeti National Park, plus Ngorongoro Crater… and stay in

luxury safari lodges, tented camps and a resort overlooking the sea for an in-depth, up-close African

Start drive down to the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Amboseli game Reserve where the elephant population number close to a thousand. Go on your very first game drive in the shadows of snow-capped “Kili”. Cross into Tanzania where you will head deeper into the bush Tarangire is all that typifies Africa from the heard of kudu and elephant to the mystical baobab and sausage trees. 

The it’s on to Ngorongoro Crater, a collapsed volcano/caldera that is now home to a myriad of wildlife.

The Serengeti and Mara are one eco-system with the Kenya and Tanzania border dividing the areas. There are no fences and the herds wander at will. You will be awestruck by the sight of hundreds of animals as they do their annual trek finding richer feeding grounds and water. Then fly into Kenya and the Maasai-Mara as this is the perfect safari for the person passionate about wildlife.

      • Day 01: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha.

        Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our VIP Visa Specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He guides you through the entire Tanzania Visa application process and skipping long immigration queues. With Galloping Safaris, you will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, a Galloping Safaris representative will be holding a poster with your name who will transfer you to Arusha (45 minutes) for the Serenity retreat of Gran Melia Arusha this charming hotel has beautiful views of Mount Meru and is the ideal place to acclimatize to Africa or simply relax in the poolside gardens with a chilled drink. On cool winter evenings, get cozy next to a fireplace and sip one of the best coffees you will ever taste and enjoy dinner at the lodge’s restaurant.

      • Day 02: Mto wa mbu village visit – Lake Manyara National Park – Game drive – High Tea.

        Breakfast, with 4×4 departure Arusha and drive to Mto wa mbu Village to join some locals in the village of mto Wa Mbu on foot escorted with a local guide for an in-depth look at their daily lives. Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing to this unique park with an alkaline lake and breathtaking views. Here you will view a wide variety of wildlife and the acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. Enjoy your picnic lunches under the Acacia trees. This habitat is favored by the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, leopards and giraffes and can claim the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa.

        Algae thrive in the high saline content of the lake. Huge and colorful flocks of birds gather in the water to feed, including many different varieties of birds that coexist together. In fact, well over 300 different species of birds have been recorded here and later drive Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to Ngorongoro Crater, a wildlife mecca, your lodge is built on the dormant volcano’s rim, with stunning views of the “lost world” below. Please join us for a welcome reception followed by dinner at the lodge this evening Ngorongoro Serena lodge.

      • Day 03: Ngorongoro Crater Game drive to see Big 5 Animals + Bush Lunch – Sundowner & Cocktails.

        Early breakfast and today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater long regarded as Africa’s “Garden of Eden.” Within the crater lie grasslands, forests and a freshwater lake, inspiring a continual migration of animals. Riding in our four-wheel-drive safari vehicle, you’ll have a chance to spot Africa’s celebrated “Big Five” – buffalo, elephant, leopard, the black-maned lion and the rare black rhinoceros. Dig into a hot lunch as

        you picnic in the heart of the crater, sure to be a highlight of your African safari. Back at the lodge to enjoy dinner and local entertainment this evening, you’ll be able to observe Ngorongoro’s wildlife-rich

        caldera below from the comfort of your private terrace and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena lodge. 

      • Day 04: Maasai Village & Olduvai George Visit – Serengeti National Park – Game drive – Evening High Tea.

        Breakfast, with picnic lunch’s drive to Serengeti National Park. Set off this morning to explore Oldupai Gorge, where archaeologists Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the fossilized remains of some of the earliest known human species, an estimated 1.8 million years old; learn more about the site’s significance on a docent-led tour. Stop at Land of the Maasai—the iconic pastoralists of the East African savanna, known for their scarlet robes, their beadwork, and their legendary ceremonies. Pay a visit to a Maasai Manyatta, or village, where we’ll be greeted with a foot-stomping, high-jumping welcome dance. Immerse yourself in their world, learning about their customs. Meet the village elders, visit homes, and take part in a memorable cultural exchange.

        Continue wildlife viewing while driving the rough dirt roads across the plains and grasslands of the Serengeti. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge.

      • Day 05: Sunrise Ballooning over the Serengeti Plains – Game drive + Sundowner – High tea – Bonfires.

        06: 00 AM Lift off on an exciting hot air balloon flight as dawn breaks over the vast Serengeti grasslands, from aloft, observe wildlife in the first light of day, an African safari thrill – and enjoy another thrill upon your return where a champagne breakfast in the bush waits for you. A morning game drive on the Serengeti plains may yield sightings of wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinoceros, hippos, buffalo, jackals, and gazelles. This is also one of the best places on the African Continent to see prides of lions. Around midday you will stop for a break to enjoy a packed lunch and stretch your legs before jumping back in your jeep ready for another few hours of spotting the animals in the afternoon. Return to the Camp for a special sundowner this evening before dinner at Serengeti Serena Lodge. 

      • Day 06: Remote Western Corridor Game drive + Spot the Great Migration – Cocktails – High tea.

        Early breakfast, today we drive to the spectacular Western Corridor passing through Musabi Plains offers the best big cat viewing opportunities in the Western Serengeti Lions, a pristine valley scattered with Ruwanda plains, Grumeti woodlands play host to the most amazing wildlife spectacle in Africa. Every year, thousands of wildebeest taking the cold plunge to cross the glittering waters of the Grumeti River, the centerpiece of the Grumeti Woodlands. It’s also a rich area with various specials like Black-and-White Colobus Monkeys, Hippo, Wildebeest, Elephant, Ostrich, and Leopard can be seen. Enjoy your Bush Lunch near Grumeti River. The river itself is renowned for its population of gigantic Nile crocodiles. Some of these pre-historic monsters measure up to 17-feet long and are 70-years old. The lush riparian forest that shades the river is home to the magnificent black-and-white colobus monkeys. Drive back for Sundowner and cocktails dinner and overnight at Lahia Tented Lodge.

      • Day 07: Remote Western Corridor Game drive – Sundowner – High tea – Bonfires.

        After awakening in the heart of the wilderness in your luxurious tent – surrounded by Edwardian-era

        accents that evoke the classic safari camps of a century ago – your safari guide shares fascinating

        insights about the African bush on your early morning game drive, as you observe the struggle of

        species to survive in the “circle of life” within Serengeti National Park. Later, after lunch and another

        game drive, relax by the Plunge pool at Chalet as the setting sun streaks the Tanzanian sky – a classic African

        safari doesn’t get any better than this. At the end of the day you return back to the lodge for Sundowner and cocktails dinner and overnight atLahia Tented Lodge.

         

      • Day 08: Flight to Zanzibar + A Stone town tour + High tea.

        Breakfast, leave the lodge and go on your final game drive keep your eyes open for any elusive wildlife that you may not have seen, transfer to Seronera Airstrip in time for flight to Arusha Airport departs at 10: 15 AM, Arrive Arusha Airport at 13: 00 PM. Meet and greet in Zanzibar with your private guide and transfer to 

        intriguing Zanzibar, an archipelago in the Indian Ocean that was once a wealthy trading center for spices. Upon arrival, set off with your local guide on a walking and driving tour of Stone Town, in the main port of Zanzibar City.

        Your home for the next two nights is a fabulous hotel overlooking the turquoise sea and white sand

        beaches. Please join us for a welcome reception followed by dinner at the lodge this evening at Park Hyatt Zanzibar.

      • Day 09: Cruise via dhow on an Indian Ocean “Safari” + Sundowner + Private Beach dinner.

        Traditional Arabian sailboats called dhows have plied the Indian Ocean waters of the Swahili Coast for

        millennia, trading and fishing from one island port to the next. Sail out to sea from Stone Town aboard a

        traditional dhow for an “Indian Ocean safari” off the coast of Zanzibar this morning, as the captain and

        crew help you spot dolphins frolicking in the ocean blue; cast anchor on a sandy beach for swimming

        and perhaps some snorkeling near beautiful coral reefs. After returning to shore, the afternoon is yours

        to check out more of fascinating Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on your own. Join us this

        evening for a farewell reception followed by a farewell dinner at your seaside hotel. Park Hyatt Zanzibar.

      • Day 10:  Private transfer to Zanzibar Airport + then homeward bound.

        Leisure breakfast, enjoy a delicious hot lunch at the Resort whether indoor or outdoor longue and read for your private transfer and fly late afternoon from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam, for your flight home. Allow 3½ hours for flight check-in. Note: International flights out should be booked after 9:00 PM.
