With five of our best destinations covered in magnificent days, this trip is packed with action and full of wildlife highlights. From Arusha, we journey westwards to huge, diverse Tarangire to be followed by a visit to see the beautiful natural wonder of the Ngorongoro with its incomparable crater. From there, we head to the endless plains of the magnificent Serengeti, where we are lucky enough to have extended time before continuing to Eyasi to experience the area’s rich human culture.

  • Day 01: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha.

    Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our VIP Visa Specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He guides you through the entire Tanzania Visa application process and skipping long immigration queues. With Galloping Safaris, you will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, a Galloping Safaris representative will be holding a poster with your name who will transfer you to Arusha (45 minutes) for the Serenity retreat of Gran Melia Hotel this charming hotel has beautiful views of Mount Meru and is the ideal place to acclimatize to Africa or simply relax in the poolside gardens with a chilled drink. On cool winter evenings, get cozy next to a fireplace and sip one of the best coffees you will ever taste and enjoy dinner at the lodge’s restaurant.

  • Day 02: Arusha NP + Walking Safaris – Bird Watching + Visit Momella Lake to see Flamingoes + Game drive.

    Meet and Greet at Mount Meru Hotel for pre-safari briefing. 08h30 Depart Arusha with 4×4 and drive the short distance to Arusha National Park passing through a dense forest, then along the various Momella lakes. Then we visit the Ngurdoto crater. Like the famous Ngorongoro Crater, this is a collapsed volcanic cone and although this crater is smaller it also offers amazing views. A walking safari is the ideal way to spot wild animals up close and enjoy the scenery. This park is one of the few parks in Tanzania where you are accompanied by an armed ranger. During a walking safari, you’ll almost certainly see waterbuck, impala, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, elephants, colobus monkeys, baboons, and various exotic birds over 300 species. We also make a stop by a waterfall where you can take a refreshing shower, Enjoy picnic lunch at the shore of Momella lakes. More game drives and later you leave the park and drive back Gran Melia Hotel for dinner and overnight.  

  • Day 03: Tarangire to Witness the massive Elephant herds and Giant Baobab trees – Evening High tea.

    Depart 07h30 from Arusha with 4x4x and drive to Tarangire National Park is a unique place and an absolutely fantastic in this time of the year. Viewing some of Tanzania’s largest populations of elephant and enjoying the diverse scenery, including the dramatic baobab trees that are so typical of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the stretch of Tarangire River. More game drive until end of the day you drive to Tarangire Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

    However, it is the pure delight and sheer pleasure of luxury tents that will remain with you for years to come, and will keep you returning, if only in spirit, to this delightfully dreamlike lodge. Sunset Hill is the perfect locations to sit atop and enjoy the deep orange sunsets that often welcome in the starry skies. With food and drinks served by one of the staffs, this is truly a magical experience not to be missed.

  • Day 04: Tarangire Full Day Game drive – Evening High tea – Sundowner + Cocktails.

    Depart at 06:00 am for a sunrise game drive before breakfast, the early morning is the best time to spot the big cats hunting in search around the river banks for Lions & leopard. And also, the resident animal viewing will be superb today for giraffe, buffalo, impala, elephant and zebras. Take a break with a picnic lunch at Silale Swamp and spend the afternoon in the beautiful Kitibong regions. Return to the Camp for high tea and ready for your sundowner in hand watch as the sun swiftly sinks and your setting becomes illuminated by a magnificent log fire. Once you have settled into your surroundings let our chef introduce you to traditional Swahili fare and experience a memorable evening under the African night sky. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge.

  • Day 05: Lake Manyara National Park – Game drive – Mto wa mbu village visit.

    After breakfast, drive the short distance to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing to this unique park with an alkaline lake and breathtaking views. Here you will view a wide variety of wildlife and the acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. Enjoy your picnic lunches under the Acacia trees. This habitat is favored by the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, leopards and giraffes and can claim the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa.

    Algae thrive in the high saline content of the lake. Huge and colorful flocks of birds gather in the water to feed, including many different varieties of birds that coexist together. In fact, well over 300 different species of birds have been recorded here. 15: 30 PM join some locals in the village of mto Wa Mbu on foot escorted with a local guide for an in-depth look at their daily lives and later drive to the Lush retreat of Lake Manyara Tortilis Camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 06: Lake Eyasi for Hunting with the Bushmen + Datoga & Hadzabe Village visit – Ngorongoro Highlands.

    Early breakfast, drive to the shores of Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. This afternoon you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake, which can be arranged. Later return back to Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp.

  • Day 07: Ngorongoro Crater Africa’s “Garden of Eden “to see Big 5 Animals + Game drives.

    Early breakfast and today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck, the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Later drive back for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp.

  • Day 08: Maasai Village Visit – Serengeti National Park – Afternoon game drive – Evenigh High Tea.

    Breakfast, with picnic lunch’s drive to Serengeti National Park. Stop at Land of the Maasai—the iconic pastoralists of the East African savanna, known for their scarlet robes, their beadwork, and their legendary ceremonies. Pay a visit to a Maasai Manyatta, or village, where we’ll be greeted with a foot-stomping, high-jumping welcome dance. Immerse yourself in their world, learning about their customs. Meet the village elders, visit homes, and take part in a memorable cultural exchange.

    Proceed to Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, dinner and overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Camp.

  • Day 09: Central Serengeti to see Mammals & Big cats – Romantic Sundowner during Sunsets.

    Early Breakfast, Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. Be amazed by the vast plains and the enormous amount of wildlife that can be seen here, and start counting the Big Five. Serengeti Seronera is well known as being home to a large number of big cats- lions, leopards and cheetahs. This does not deter the elephant, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo and impala who are also popular inhabitants of Seronera. Around midday you will stop for a break to enjoy a packed lunch and stretch your legs before jumping back in your jeep ready for another few hours of spotting the animals in the afternoon. At the end of the day you will return for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Camp.

  • Day 10: Western Serengeti OR Lobo Valley to Witness the Great Migration Grumeti River Crossing – High tea.

    Early breakfast, today we drive to the spectacular Western Corridor passing through Musabi Plains offers the best big cat viewing opportunities in the Western Serengeti Lions, a pristine valley scattered with Ruwanda plains, Grumeti woodlands play host to the most amazing wildlife spectacle in Africa. Every year, thousands of wildebeest taking the cold plunge to cross the glittering waters of the Grumeti River, the centerpiece of the Grumeti Woodlands. It’s also a rich area with various specials like Black-and-White Colobus Monkeys, Hippo, Wildebeest, Elephant, Ostrich, and Leopard can be seen. Enjoy your Bush Lunch near Grumeti River. The river itself is renowned for its population of gigantic Nile crocodiles. Some of these pre-historic monsters measure up to 17-feet long and are 70-years old. The lush riparian forest that shades the river is home to the magnificent black-and-white colobus monkeys. Drive back for Sundowner and cocktails dinner and overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Camp.

  • Day 11: Southern or Eastern Serengeti Game drive – The Land of Big Cats – Sundowner – High tea – Bonfires.

    Depart at 06:00 am for a sunrise game drive before breakfast, the early morning is the best time to spot the big cats hunting Cheetahs, Lions & leopard. And also, the resident animal viewing will be superb today for giraffe, buffalo, impala, elephant and waterbuck. Return to your camp for Hot Lunch and stretch your legs before jumping back in your jeep ready for another few hours of spotting the animals in the afternoon game drive to the remote Sametu Marsh, the territory of the Serengeti’s most famous lion pride and a magnet for wildlife. At the end of the day you will return to return for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Camp.

  • Day 12: Flight to Arusha Airport – Private Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport- Departure.

    Breakfast, and today is your final morning in Serengeti for an en-route game drive that may turn up any number of cat family or mammals on the plains, transfer to Seronera Airstrip in time for check in for flight to Arusha Airport. Flight departs Seronera Airstrip at 11: 00 AM, and arrive Arusha Airport at 12: 15 PM.

    Upon arrival at Arusha Airport you will be meet with our guide and short transfer to Butter and Scotch Restaurant at Sable Squire Garden for a fare well delicious Lunch, today you will taste Beef & Chicken Barbecue, rice, bananas, cheese plate, organic salads to have more African touch and later Private transfer back to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for check in for departure flight.
