The Great Migration Safari odyssey kicks off in Nairobi at Giraffe Manor, a beautiful English-style country house with one big difference. Its permanent residents are a journey of endangered Rothschild’s giraffes and the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Rescue Center. And Then fly to the Lewa Wilderness for unrivaled cultural experiences and investigation of this wild region of Kenya. The Great Migration Safari includes the opportunity to explore Africa by horseback, camelback, enjoy Forest Canopy walking safaris, Scenic Flight in a vintage biplane and hot air ballooning and day and night game drives.

Before witnessing spectacles in the Africa’s premier parks, the Masai Mara, Serengeti and in the natural phenomenon of Ngorongoro Crater. Delve into wildlife viewing to see the Tree climbing lions of Manyara before return back to Nairobi.

  • Day 01: Arrive Nairobi International Airport – Nairobi.

    Upon arrival at Nairobi International Airport with ex flight with customs/Immigration formalities. Our VIP Visa Specialist Staff will meet, greet you for assistance to clear Custom and VISA Processing and will escort your family’s and carrying all your luggage’s until you exit and at the arrival longue you be meet with your Host (Walter Tenga +255 787 529068 also on what up same number) with his team will guide you and welcome you on board the vehicle with short orientation and private transfer to the Hotel (45 minutes) for check in to Giraffe Manor Hotel for Lunch, Dinner and all in house drinks-Superior Rooms.

  • Day 02: Flight to Lewa Conservancy – High Tea and Afternoon Game drive.

    Early breakfast, Meet and greet for pre-safari briefing and pick up from Hotel and short transfer to Nairobi Wilson Airport in time for check in for Air Kenya scheduled flight to Lewa Airstrip. Flight depart Nairobi Wilson Airport at 08: 30 AM, arrive Lewa Downs Airstrip at 09: 55 AM. Arrive Lewa Conservancy, home of the Lewa Wilderness Lodge. Enjoy a lovely lunch, usually served al fresco, with ingredients fresh from the organic garden on site. After lunch, head into one of Kenya’s conservation success stories.

    Here you are surrounded by rich game viewing opportunities and you’ll have a very good chance of seeing all of the Big 5, including the endangered black and white rhinos while on safari. Return to the lodge for dinner and a cozy night at Lewa Wilderness Lodge.

  • Day 03: Lewa Conservancy – Scenic Biplane Flights and Afternoon Camelback Safari.

    Rise early this morning to board a vintage biplane that will take you over stunning ravines and inaccessible forest of the conservancy. This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience only offered to guests of Lewa Wilderness Lodge. This afternoon spends some time learning about the conservation initiatives with the staff of Lewa’s headquarters. Then, head out on camelback through the bush for an unparalleled opportunity to get close to wildlife, combined with the stunning scenery and varied terrain. Stop for sundowners before going back to camp for dinner and drinks around the roaring fire.

  • Day 04: Lewa Conservancy – Forest Canopy Walk, Cultural Experience, and Horseback riding.

    Start your day in the canopy of a green corridor on walkways and platforms giving you a monkey-eye view’ of the forest. Then, visit with the local Maasai village, where you observe and learn about their traditional, nomadic lifestyle and coexistence with wildlife. Spend as much time at the village as you wish chatting with residents, watching them create traditional bead work and crafts, or being an honored guest inside their homes. Finish your day on a horseback ride with only the sound of hooves in the nearby wilderness areas. On this adventure you are more likely to come across the paw print of a lion than a footprint of a human being!

    Return to Lewa Wilderness Lodge for another fabulous meal and evening of camaraderie.

  • Day 05: Flight to Mara Naboishu Conservancy – High Tea and Afternoon Game drive.

    Early breakfast, say goodbye a fare well for your beautiful lodge staff and game drive en-route keep your eyes open for any elusive wildlife that you may not have seen and might turn up lucky and transfer to the Airstrip in time Flight to Mara Ol Seki. Flight departure at Lewa Downs 10: 05 AM, arrive at 11: 30 AM.

    You’ll be picked up at the airstrip by Camp guide and the game drive begins immediately. Arrive at Kicheche Valley Camp, located on a private conservancy adjacent to the Masai Mara National Reserve, in time for high tea. After tea, continue exploring the conservancy with your guide, returning to camp for dinner and overnight at Kicheche valley Camp.

  • Day 06: Mara Naboishu Conservancy – Walking Safari and Night Drive.

    Wake up early to experience the vast number of wildlife species in the area on a game drive. Return to camp for a full hot breakfast. This afternoon explores the area around camp on foot with an armed guide. This is a thrilling way to experience the African bush more intimately. After dinner you will head out on your night drive, a fabulous way to learn about Africa’s nocturnal game and see the migration by starlight. Return to Kicheche Valley Camp to rest your head after an exciting day.

  • Day 07: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Hot Air balloon Ride and game Drive.

    A hot air balloon ride truly is an extraordinary way to see the vast landscape and the wildebeest migration. After silently gliding over Africa’s big game for an hour, enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush. Spend mid-day getting a message, doing yoga, or reading in camp before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Return to camp for a late dinner and overnight with the opportunity to head out on another night drive if you wish or enjoy a sundowner at sunset with an amazing view.

  • Day 08: Flight to Serengeti National Park – High Tea and Afternoon Game drive.

    After a sumptuous breakfast, you will transfer by road to the Mara Ol Seki Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Kogatende Airstrip depart at 08: 30 Am, you will fly via Migori Airstrip, Kenyan/Tanzania Boarder with Customs/Immigration formalities at Tarime. (Here our Crew will assist you with all process for Immigration/Customs Formalities here very smooth). You will arrive at Northern Serengeti Kogatende Airstrip at 11: 45 AM, you will be met and greet with your Private Guide and short transferred with en-route game drives to your Lodge in time for high tea. Later you will venture out on an evening game drive to explore the world’s most celebrated wilderness area. We are in Northern Corridor area, known as the Mara River area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Mara River, Dinner and overnight at Lemala Kuria Hills Tented Lodge.

  • Day 09: Full Day game drives to Witness the Great Migration Mara River Crossing.

    These full day safaris are the best way to see the full range of what this magnificent park has to offer. Each excursion departs at around 6.30 am, with your 4×4 fully equipped to cross the Serengeti in search of game. The early mornings are relatively cool, but by midday it can become very hot indeed and sun-block lotion and hats are advised. Lunch is served under the shade of an Acacia tree as you take a break from scanning the horizons, and realize that all is well with the world.

    One of nature’s great occasions is the annual crossing of the Mara river by migrating wildebeest. Yet it is often in the lesser-known corners of the bush that we spot the highlights of your visit, such as a kill, amorous liaison, or lesser-known creature. A full day on safari gives you every chance of such unforgettable encounters. Return for sundowner and cocktails, campfire is ready for you, enjoy dinner and overnight at Lemala Kuria Hills Tented Lodge.

  • Day 10: Central Serengeti to see Mammals & Big cats – Afternoon High Tea – Sundowner – Cocktails.

    Breakfast, drive to Central Serengeti National Park for Hot Lunch at Lodge and in time for high tea.

    Later you will venture out on an evening game drive to explore the known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Dunia Camp is the only one run by a team of only women. Dunia is a tranquil semi-permanent camp with just eight spacious tented suites, each

    with expansive views of the pristine wilderness and game-filled plains from a large private veranda.

  • Day 11: Olduvai George – Shifting Sand – Ngorongoro Highlands.

    Breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro. A brief visit en-route to Olduvai Gorge, which is often referred to as ‘The Cradle of Mankind’ and is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world.

    And investigate the Shifting Sands wonders along your way. Arrive at Gibbs Farm in time for high tea and After settling in, experience a local working organic farm including over 10 acres of fruit and vegetable gardens of 30 acres of coffee. Try your hand at milking a cow while the staff answer questions about their sustainable farming methods. Enjoy a lovely dinner fresh from the garden this evening. Overnight at Gibbs Farm Cottages.

  • Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater Africa’s “Garden of Eden”- Sundowner – Bush Barbecue Dinner.

    Early breakfast and today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the Wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest Animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, Hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck, the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Later drive to the Lush retreat of Gibbs Farm for the sundowner at the Lodge is one of its kinds. The ever-inviting fireplace pit by the campfire where the Swahili lessons with fun are offered by our staff. Enjoy your delicious dinner will be served at the mezzanine that offer the best fine view the highlands and overnight-Cottage Suites.

  • Day 13: Lake Manyara NP – Game drive – Mto Wa Mbu Village Visit – Private Transfer to Nairobi Airport.

    Early breakfast, drive the short distance to Lake Manyara National Park for game drives. Then join some locals in the village of Mto wa Mbu on foot or on bike for an in-depth look at their daily lives.

    Drive towards Arusha in time for Lunch at Butter and Scotch Restaurant at Sable Squire Garden for a fare well delicious LUNCH, today you will taste Beef & Chicken Barbecue, rice, bananas, cheese plate, organic salads to have more African touch and ready for private transfer back to Nairobi for departure onwards arrangements.
