Olakira Camp is a mobile-tented camp that moves through the southern and central Serengeti, the location changes depending on areas of greatest wildlife concentration. It consists of 6 guest tents and 2 common area tents. The guest tents are spacious and comfortable with large king-size or twin beds and a private veranda with an amazing views of the Serengeti. Bathrooms are very nice for a mobile camp, with shower, wash basin and an eco-friendly toilet.
Central to the camp are two common tents that are open to the surrounding nature. One tent serves as a dining tent and the other one as a lounge, where drinks are served and safari stories are shared. Fantastic meals are served in the dining tent or in a private location: your own veranda or under the Serengeti stars.
Between August and November the camp follows the migration, which reaches its northern range of the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara. Within the Maasai Mara lies the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River, which the herds must cross not once, but twice, as they complete their migration. The herds remain in this area until mid-December before they can usually be found heading south again. In addition to the herds that make up the migration, there lots of the cats, as well elephants, buffalo, impala, giraffe and many other species of plains game.
